The two words "without testing" seem to tempt many users of e-scooters and other small electric vehicles (eKF) to simply drive off.

The legislator has regulated exactly what must be observed in order to use e-scooters on public roads in the Small Electric Vehicles Ordinance (eKFV)!

Important: insurance must be taken out for the eKF. As with mopeds or scooters, this can be checked using the insurance license plate. Use without insurance cover is a criminal offense and will be prosecuted by the police!

Other paragraphs of the eKFV concern, among other things, the general operating license, the technical equipment, the carriage of additional persons, telephoning while driving and the routes that may be used.

Those who violate this regulation must expect fines.
